Original title: JavaI have windows 8.1 with Explorer 11. My Computer worked fine with Java until I did the new Java update. 7.65 that was two days ago. I keep getting a window from Internet Explorer Stating: The page you are viewing uses Java. More information on Java supportis available from Microsoft website. Well, I have tried everything Microsoft and Java had to offer including turning off firewall and virus protection and reinstalling java including the off line version.

I must have uninstalled and reinstalled at least fiftytimes! Has anyone else had this problem and found away to fix it? Please help.I tried all the suggestions everyone gave with no luck.

I gave up and reinstalled everything on my computer. The problem was and old Sun Java Console kept showing up in the Internet Add-Ons. I could disable it but could not remove it!

After I did a cleanInstall of everything Two days later the dam thing showed up again! After researching every program on my computer I found my DVD software used Java also. So I did another clean install without the DVD software. So far my computer and Java is working great. Hi Joseph,Sorry, to know that you are facing this issue. You may face this issue if Java Add-ons are not enabled on Internet Explorer. I would suggest you to follow these methods and check if it helps.Method 1: I would suggest you to check if there is any older version of Java installed on the computer.

If so try uninstalling older versions of Java using Java uninstall tool.If there are any leftover files of the previous versions of JAVA on the computer, then that could corrupt the installation of the newer version or it could create some other issues with the installation. So, you need to make sure that you have uninstalledthe previous version by using the JAVA Uninstall Utility Tool. So, let’s try uninstalling the JAVA using this tool. You may download the JAVA Uninstall Utility from the JAVA website and then remove it completely from the computer. You may download this utility from this link:Why should I uninstall older versions of Java from my system? After uninstalling older version try Installing Java. Refer this link:Method 2: Check if Java plug-in is enabled in the browser. Press Windows logo key + W to open the Search charm to search settings.

In the Search box type: Java Control Panel. Click on the Java Control Panel icon to open. In the Java Control Panel, click on the Security tab. Select the check box for Enable Java content in the browser. This will enable the Java plug-in in the browser. Click Apply.

When the Windows User Account Control (UAC) dialog appears, allow permissions to make the changes. Click OK in the Java Plug-in confirmation window. Restart the browser for changes to take effect.Method 3: If issue persists, there might be some changes in Internet Explorer settings due to which you might be facing this issue. Try resetting Internet Explorer and check if it helps:How to reset Internet Explorer settingsDisclaimer: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites.
